His mother, Eva Wasserman, recorded her memoirs in I Shall Lead You Through the Nights, a book published by her two children, Mina and Stephen. Born in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942, he and his mother were the only survivors of a large family, who were smuggled out of the ghetto just prior to the uprising in 1943. His story is not only one of unspeakable tragedy and atrocity, but of enduring hope and freedom.
