Harbor Drive will be closed, and the procession will be accompanied by a police escort. 5:30 PM Celebration of the new Torah at Chabad, with Hakafot (dancing) and a festive dinner Dedicated by Federico Citoni in loving memory of his dear father, Moshe Massimo Citoni. Shavuot - the holiday when we celebrate the giving of the Torah to the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful for our community. We recently welcomed a beautiful new Sefer Torah with joyful dancing through the streets as it was escorted to its new home. On Shavuot, its very first public reading will be the Ten Commandments - commemorating the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai. There could not be a more fitting occasion for this special moment. You are invited to join the KB community as we celebrate this special holiday by hearing the reading of the Ten Commandments from our new Torah, followed by an ice cream party with dairy desserts. This event is open to the entire community - adults and children of all ages are warmly invited.
